Early hinge repair often prevents more damage
A loose hinge can pull on the display cover, top case, antenna cables and display cable. The more the lid is forced open and shut, the more likely a simple hinge case becomes a cover or screen repair.
Hinge damage is often cover damage too
On many laptops, the problem is not only the hinge but the plastic or metal mounts, display cover, lower frame or palmrest. We assess what actually holds the hinge before ordering parts.
